So it’s pretty darn clear that I am quite possibly one of the worst bloggers on the face of the planet.
That MAY be an exaggeration, but I never did get around to finishing that 15 day challenge that I had hoped I would commit to. It’s obvious that I’m not one to follow through with my goals, which is why New Year’s Resolutions aren’t for me. I try making a resolution every year, and then around January 2nd or 3rd I decide that I’m not going to follow through with my resolution anyway, so why keep up the pretense? And just like that, it was as if the resolution had never been made. Usually my resolutions are food-based, and somehow I end up commemorating the premature death of my resolution by eating whatever it is I vowed not to eat. So there you have it!
I’m not sure whether I’m going to continue with the 15 day thing [at my own pace] or not. I was looking back at the things it wants me to list and some of them aren’t even that interesting! I might find something more fun to do to make up for it, maybe.
So it’s 2011! And what have I done? Nothing. At all. I might have managed to set the world record for having the laziest, most slovenly, bumtastic winterbreak EVER. Want proof?
Nicole’s Winter Break Day [in a nutshell]:
12pm: drag lazy self out of bed
12:15: turn on HGTV, watch mindlessly for hours
[if one should encounter a repeat of House Hunters, change channel to a movie most likely seen on HBO at least 7 times, pull out book and read while movie provides background noise]
4pm: consider leaving the house. fall asleep instead.
7pm: eat with family. watch more tv.
12am: relocate to bedroom, read some more.
1 am: recount the day’s activities, sigh with dissatisfaction.
3 am: kick cat out of room, fall asleep.
SO there it is, ladies and gentlemen! Proof that I am indeed living the life. Aren’t you guys jealous?! Let me tell you, this life isn’t as glam as it may seem, so don’t you all go quitting your jobs and dropping out of school because you’re tempted to give this lifestyle a spin.
Needless to say, I’m a little excited that school starts up again for me on Wednesday. Only a LITTLE excited though. Mostly I’m just terrified. For one, I already have a mountain of homework that needs to be done preferably before I venture back to Reno on Sunday. Second, it’s my LAST SEMESTER IN RENO. Third, if the past semesters are any indication of how fast time flies when school is in session, I’m going to be speeding through these 16 weeks without getting a real chance to appreciate Reno before I have to leave it. Fourth, I’m most likely not going to have a life until May. Hooray! Fifth, this is my LAST semester in Reno [I know I've said this already, but this scares me TWICE as much as anything else.] I don’t think I’m ready to graduate and be a part of the real world yet!
Okay, I’m done rambling. This past Saturday my dad and I went to this thing called Cars and Coffee and I thought I would share some pictures [taken with my NEW camera!!]. Now I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “Gee thanks, Nicole, for providing me with a great idea for your 2011 birthday gift!” Aw, you shouldn’t have.
So, without further ado:
I will gladly take any of these. I love. So much.
I feel like if I owned this, going to Coachella every year would be a must.
Camaros are my weakness. I can't help it.
And for those of you not into cars, here’s mom and me on Christmas:
