It's December!

So it only just hit me that it’s ACTUALLY December! I love this month!
Once again, I’m writing this blog post to avoid homework and finals preparation, and I thought I would enlighten my [very few] devoted readers as to what goes on in the loveliest month of the year.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking I only like December because of Christmas. Now, it is DEFINITELY a highlight [okay, maybe THE highlight], but December has so much MORE to offer! For example, did you know that the entire month of December is “Read a New Book” month? I KNOW. Mind blowing. So I thought I would prepare a list of “holidays” that occur in December that show how great this month REALLY is:
December month observances
  • Hi Neighbor month
  • National Stress Free Family Holiday month
  • Read a New Book month
  • Universal Human Rights month
  • Write to a Friend month
December 1: Eat a Red Apple Day/National Pie Day — Let me just say, I amdevastated that this day has already passed. A day dedicated to two wonderful foods, and I missed out! I am so bummed.
December 2: National Fritters Day — Do you like fritters? I like fritters. Especially the apple kind.
December 3: National Roof Over Your Head Day  – How does one celebrate this?
December 4: National Cookie Day/Wear Brown Shoes Day — Becauseeveryone knows the best way to eat cookies is if you have brown shoes on!
December 5: Walt Disney’s birthday! — That guy was so great.
December 6: Mitten Tree Day — Yeah, no clue. But I sure like mittens, so a whole TREE of them would be fab!
December 7: National Cotton Candy Day
December 8: National Brownie Day — I’m beginning to think that the whole month of December is really just dedicated to eating.
December 11: National Noodle Ring Day — Can anyone explain to me what a noodle ring is, because I want to be able to celebrate it right!
December 13: National Cocoa Day
December 17: National Maple Syrup Day/Underdog Day — What better way to celebrate the under appreciated than by pouring syrup on everything?
December 18: Wear a Plunger on Your Head Day — I’m not making this up. Google it.
December 19: Oatmeal Muffin Day
December 20: Games Day — I love games! We should have a game night on games day. Anyone interested?
December 21: National Flashlight Day/Look at the Bright Side Day — Wow, these go together really well! I definitely think the easiest way to look at the bright side of something would be to use a flashlight.
December 24: National Egg Nog Day/Christmas Eve!
December 25: CHRISTMAS!!!!
December 26: National Whiners Day — Is this for people who didn’t get what they wanted the day before?
December 27: Visit the Zoo Day
December 28: National Chocolate Day
December 31: New Year’s Eve!
So there you go, folks. December is a great month. This proves my point. Let’s celebrate!!!
