I've become kind of obsessed with blogging, and I really wish I could blog better! Actually, I really wish I had a super fantastic incredible jet-setter, crafty, chef-y, or other type of life so that when I DO blog, it's actually something people will want to read! Since I have none of the attributes listed above, I think what I will do is write about what I hope to accomplish this summer. Enjoy?
1. Mini-vacations!
This includes visiting southern California to see Alicia, and go to Disneyland! [New Star Tours, whaaaatt?!] I also plan on (hopefully) two Reno visits, a blitz trip to Yosemite, and maybe visit other parts of NorCal as well? Aaaaaand a week in New Mexico with the college group at Shadow Hills!
2. Getting in shape!
So I have this gym membership. I've had it for a while now. I try using it a lot. We'll see how that goes.
3. Spend time with Oma!
My grandma is coming into town from good ol' Deutschland in July and I sure as heck plan on soaking up all the Oma time that I can get. Unfortunately, her time here conflicts with the planned camping trip in Reno, but we will see how that goes.
4. Eat lots of German food!
The title pretty much explains itself. MMM.
5. Bid adieu to allergies!
I've been going to the allergist about three times a week for allergy shots, so I'd better notice a difference by the end of the summer, shoot.
6. Stop being so pasty white!
I'm so pale. Must get some sun.
7. Improve my German speaking ability!
Let's face it, the whole "use it or lose it" thing is totally true. I feel like a clown lately trying to speak it, so it needs some reaaaall work.
8. Learn to like running!
I want to like running. I do. Really. Stupid asthma.
9. Have long hair!
I am going to use all my willpower this summer to will my hair to GROW, dangit. I know that isn't really possible, but it'd be nice...
10. Read, a lot!
I'm already working on this one, considering I've finished like 7 books in the almost month since I've been home. Reading is fun! ;)
11. Prepare for student teaching!
This one scares me to no end! Aaahh!

Something is off?
These past couple of days have been really weird for me. I've been feeling off, and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
It may be because while sitting bored at home on Facebook, I'm seeing all of the things that everyone else is doing. All their future plans, their summer trips, their relationships, and I can't help but feel a little envious.
Now, don't get me wrong. I love my life. It doesn't matter where I am, or who I'm with, or what situation I'm in because regardless of anything that's going on, I've learned to have hope. I'm trying to live with a positive outlook on everything. That's hard sometimes, but it really makes life feel a lot easier. It's just that my future is very much up in the air after student teaching. I wish I knew a little more about what I would like to do or where I would like to go after I finally get my teaching license for real!
Another reason why I'm feeling down might be because of the lack of people that I want in my life. Namely two. One moved away permanently for her job and for her future grad school, and I can't help but feel pretty darn sad when I think about how things will never be the same. I know that we will always be best friends, and that her life is going to be amazing, and I know I'm being selfish about not having her here with me, but still. It sucks. The other person... Well, that's a little tricky. I find myself constantly thinking, overthinking, trying to figure out ways to make our futures line up. I need to stop trying. I think I may have to move on. It's tough to elaborate on, but anyway.
I'm also feeling troubled about not going back to Reno in the fall. I don't know how I'll feel once school starts back up again for all of my Reno friends, because it's going to be rough knowing that I won't be going back.
This wasn't meant to be a depressing post! I am happy. I've had a weird few days. But the good thing is, this is a new week, and I have a whole future to look forward to! :)

i have failed miserably.
I can never commit to anything, I swear! I got bored/gave up on the 30 day challenge. And I was NEARLY THERE! I just got so incredibly busy with the packing and the moving and the graduating that I totally spaced on the blogging thing.
But here I am!
And look!
I graduated!
I think I will create a more detailed post on my post-graduation happenings at a later date. Not that anything exciting has happened since moving home, really. But I'll probably type something silly up anyway.

day TWENTY-SEVEN
day 27: A picture of yourself and a family member.
Because the other day was Mother's Day:
If you don't know who this is by now, then clearly I haven't talked about my family enough. :)
day 27: A song that you wish you could play.

day TWENTY-SIX
day 26: A picture of something that means a lot to you.
I'll say it once, I'll say it again, I'll probably say it a million more times: My family means a lot to me! But, for the sake of not sounding repetitive, I'll try something else today:
This is my favorite place in the whole world. It's my Oma's house in Germany. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there!
day 26: A song that you can play on an instrument.

Andrea Bocelli-- Time to Say Goodbye.
It's been a while, though, so I can't guarantee it's any good. :)
Also, I've been working through the Pride and Prejudice songbook, so I can also play this:
It's called Dawn. Oh man, I love this music. And the movie.

day TWENTY-FIVE
day 25: A picture of your favorite day.
My day at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Dreams came true that day, yes they did.
day 25: A song that makes you laugh.

Tenacious D-- Tribute.
This song reminds me of good times, and is silly.
Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day!
To my beautiful, loving, wonderful Mommy Maus,
I love you SO SO SO SO SO much and I can't wait until I get to see you next weekend! You are the best mom that anyone can ever ask for, and I know that you'll always be there for me, and I'll always be there for you. There aren't words that can express how grateful I am that you are in my life, and I look forward to many many many more wonderful Mother's Days where I can celebrate just how wonderful you are.
I love you!!!
Love,
Your Darling, FAVORITE (only) Daughter
